Kelly discovered her passion for dance while still living in Greece. In 2009, a dance instructor visited the local elementary school to teach a free ballroom class to the students and after taking her first class, Kelly fell in love with dancing! The teacher referred her to a local dance studio, where she danced for four years. During that time, she became a teacher’s assistant for several classes, received a full scholarship for the studio she attended, and won a national ballroom competition two consecutive years. After moving to the United States, Kelly wanted to continue her dance education, but had an extremely hard time learning the language and, therefore, communicating and making connections. After trying out classes at numerous dance studios, she tried a class at The Studio. The staff and students were all very welcoming and she instantly felt at home. Kelly has now been training at The Studio for four years. Furthermore, she had the opportunity to learn from professionals such as Laura Edwards, Brian Friedman, Tricia Miranda, Dave Scott, and more. She became part of Blackout Crew and performed at several events for artist such as Wiz Khalifa, Flo Rida, Lil Wayne, and Fabolous. Kelly has now been part of The Studio’s faculty for two years, teaching Latin and Hip Hop classes. Dance has always been her passion and she wishes to continue her teaching career, while still taking classes at The Studio.
